Gary Larson was born Tacoma, Washington on August 14, 1950. He got his comedic
ideas from his lifestyle at home Due to his brother's (Dan) paranoid sense of humor.

Pacific Northwest". They loved his cartoons and made a section for him that he called called "Nature's way." He then went on to sell his comic strip to the "San Francisco Chronicle" in which he called "The Far Side" He wrote two books called "The Complete Farside" and "There's a Hair in my Dirt" He has won many awards and proven many times why he is one of the best cartoonist to ever live.
The style he uses is putting very exaggerated real life situations into cartoons.
